A Magical Unicorn 1st Birthday
I wanted to include the colors pink and gold to throw an awesome magical unicorn party for my daughter's first birthday. But to start with, I needed to design an elegant, yet fun invitation. I illustrated a baby unicorn, since she was just turning 1 years old and I included the color scheme. I printed these on shimmer white card stock & layered it with gold metallic pink background card stock. I used the Cricut Explore Air 2 to print then ut method to shape the inviation with and ornate design cutout.
I added accessories to the dessert table & created a Keep Calm unicorn sign & a What's Your Unicorn Name sign. Both helped compliment the magical unicorn theme.
You can' forget the centerpiece props. I Printed then Cut the unicorn-shaped artwork & number 1's & placed them in mason jars that I spray painted pink & put pink & white shredded paper inside. More pics to come soon of final centerpieces.
I also designed & created a chalkboard design with the birthday girl's information about when she turned 1. This template can easily be created using Adobe Illustrator & printed on foam board.
I then created a highchair banner for the little one, printed then cut with Cricut Explore Air 2, with ornate cutout & patterned card stock.
Next, I wanted to create this unicorn themes dessert table to include a Unicorn Cake, Unicorn Cupcakes, Unicorn Cake Pops and Unicorn Cookies.
For a fun kids activity, I bought everything I needed so kids can make unicorn poop slime. It was awesome! The kids loved it! Follow the recipe off MomDot website here, and don't forget to always be safe with Borax!
I also designed an iron-on for baby's onsie or small kids t-shirt. Don't forget to flip it when you print on iron-on transfer paper. There are (2) designs, see which one you like best! Enjoy!
